How to Hire Me
If you have never worked with a freelance writer before, you may be wondering how it all works.
The first step is to contact me for a consultation. I answer your questions and we discuss your needs.
When requesting my services, please allow enough time for me to complete your project. I usually require a minimum of two weeks for small projects; large projects can take several months or more to finish. Please read my Technical Writing Services FAQ for details about scheduling, contracts, payments, and more.
Once I know we are a good fit, I may ask you to fill out a brief questionnaire. Then I need a few days to write a customized proposal and email it to you. The proposal outlines my work methods, the scope of your project, and my fees.
Is your business located outside Dallas, Texas? Don't worry. I accept local and long distance clients. By using email, telephone, and fax, working virtually is no problem on most projects.
